Here’s the 2025 Theme for Latter-day Saint Youth
Look Unto Christ’ Is 2025 Theme for Latter-day Saint Youth
The Young Women and Young Men General Presidencies of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, who oversee the Church’s programs for youth, announced Tuesday, September 17, that the 2025 youth theme is “Look unto Christ” from the scripture Doctrine and Covenants 6:36, which reads, “Look unto me in every thought; doubt not, fear not.”
Parents and youth leaders are encouraged to teach principles from the theme at home and at church throughout the year. The theme can be used as a topic for Sunday meeting talks given by youth and can provide focus for youth activities, including camps, youth conferences and devotionals. The theme will be emphasized during For the Strength of Youth (FSY) conferences and worldwide youth devotionals.
Young Men General President Steven J. Lund shared an insightful lesson he learned from a friend who works as a motorcycle policeman. The officer revealed that the key to keeping those heavy bikes balanced, whether in tight turns or cruising down the highway, is simple: “look where you want to go, and the motorcycle will go where you are looking.”
President Lund drew a parallel between this advice and the 2025 youth theme, explaining that to “look unto Christ” is much like using a compass, a landmark, or even a road sign to guide you. He emphasized that it’s not just about looking, but about acting on what you see. “Looking means little if we choose not to follow directions,” he said. “We are truly looking to Him only when we are willing to follow His commandments.” He expressed hope that the youth of the Church will find peace by looking to Christ as their guide in both knowing and keeping His commandments.
Young Women General President Emily Belle Freeman added that she hopes young people will “look unto Christ” in all aspects of their lives. Whether they’re walking down school hallways, standing on the sidelines of a game, starting a new job, reading their scriptures, spending time with friends, or reflecting during quiet moments, Christ can be their constant source of direction and strength.
He will be your strength,” she said. “Look unto Him.”
