The first official photographs of the Tallahassee Florida Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have been released, capturing its serene design and architectural beauty as it nears public access. Announced in April 2020, this temple will be the third in Florida and sits on a nearly 5-acre plot in the northeast part of Tallahassee.

Its single-story structure spans approximately 29,000 square feet and incorporates classic details characteristic of Latter-day Saint temples, with a blend of local architectural influences that harmonize with the surrounding landscape.

Inside, the temple is adorned with stained glass, light fixtures, and carefully selected finishes that reflect its sacred purpose and create a sense of peace and reverence for visitors. The grounds are meticulously landscaped with native greenery and offer spaces for contemplation and spiritual reflection, adding to the temple’s peaceful atmosphere.

A public open house is scheduled from November 4 to 23, 2024, offering visitors a guided tour before the temple is dedicated on December 8, 2024. After this dedication, access will be limited to church members, in keeping with the purpose of Latter-day Saint temples as places for special ordinances and worship.

The Tallahassee Florida Temple will be the 202nd operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and one of five temples in Florida that are in operation, are under construction, or have been announced.
