Church Magazine Subscriptions Are Now Free Throughout the World
Church Magazine Subscriptions Now Available Worldwide at No Cost
Households all over the globe can get free printed copies of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ three worldwide publications for adults, youth, and children in 50 languages.
The offer that the Church introduced in August 2023 has been rolling out across the world. Now anyone with a Church account (which does not require Church membership) may sign up to receive the “Liahona” (for adults), “For the Strength of Youth” (for youth ages 12 to 18) and the “Friend” (for children) without paying for a subscription.
How to Order Magazines
An adult member of a household may manage subscriptions at MagazineSubscriptions.ChurchofJesusChrist.org. Simply sign in using a Church account. (Anyone who doesn’t have a Church account may sign up for one at no cost at account.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.)
The offer is one subscription of up to three magazines per household. Additional copies of current issues of other magazines may be purchased at store.ChurchofJesusChrist.org, Church distribution centers and Deseret Book retail stores.
Click the “subscribe” button next to the magazine images and descriptions for a subscription to printed magazines. Fill out your shipping address and language preference at the bottom of the page.
To sign up for a monthly email notification when a new issue of a magazine is released online, select the digital magazines wanted under “Email for Online Magazines.”
The magazines, which share inspirational stories and messages and support home-centered gospel study, are published in 50 languages and distributed to millions of Church members worldwide in digital and print formats.
“The Church wants to give greater access to the words of the prophets, and we are excited to make the printed copies of the Church magazines available at no cost,” said Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles in August 2023. “We come closer to Jesus Christ as we consistently participate in gospel study in the home,” he said.
The “Liahona” for adults highlights the teachings and ministry of Church leaders, shares inspiring articles that show how to apply gospel principles, supports learning the gospel at home and provides insight into scriptural topics.
“For the Strength of Youth” has spiritually uplifting messages from Apostles and other Church leaders, testimonies and experiences from youth all over the world, fun activities, and inspiration and strength to help youth find joy as a disciple of Jesus Christ.
The “Friend” invites children worldwide to follow Jesus Christ. Each issue contains scripture stories, child-friendly messages from prophets and other Church leaders, games and coloring pages, and stories of children throughout the world who are putting their faith in the Savior into action.
How Leaders Can Help
The ward council can subscribe for children and youth who do not have parents attending church with them as well as for members who need additional help. Leaders can do this by going to Leader and Clerk Resources (LCR) Reports and then Magazine Subscriptions. Subscribing for these groups will require permission from members who need additional help and from the children’s parents.
