Elder Gerrit W. Gong of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will speak at the devotional and introduce the 2023 youth theme “I can do all things through Christ.” Young Women General President Bonnie H. Cordon and Young Men General President Steven J. Lund will also participate.

How to apply to be in the youth choir

Male and female Latter-day Saints ages 12–18 of all ethnicities are welcome to apply online to be in the choir.

To participate, choir members must live along the Wasatch Front and be able to attend all of the choir rehearsals listed on the application. Rehearsals begin Jan. 5, 2023, and will be held in the Conference Center on Temple Square.

Applicants may note in the online application whether their parent or guardian is willing to assist with the choir in other capacities (choir usher, attendance assistant, etc.).

The application deadline is Dec. 27 at 9 a.m. Applicants will be notified via email by Jan. 3, 2023, whether or not they are selected to participate.

The devotional for youth will be available for viewing Sunday, Jan. 29, at 4 p.m. Mountain Time on ChurchofJesusChrist.org, the Gospel Library app, Gospel Media, and the Strive To Be YouTube channel.

Youth, parents and youth leaders who live near Salt Lake City are invited to attend the recording of the devotional on Sunday, Jan. 22, at 6 p.m. in the Conference Center. A ticket is required for admission. Beginning at 10 a.m. Jan. 3, general admission tickets will be available to reserve. A user may request a maximum of 20 tickets at this link.
