Single men over 40 who wish to serve a mission can choose from various assignments, including working in administrative, support, or teaching roles, as well as serving in local communities.

These missionaries, like other senior missionaries, can serve for durations ranging from 6 to 23 months and are able to express preferences regarding where they might serve and the types of assignments that best match their skills and interests.

Bishops can initiate full-time missionary recommendations for prospective senior candidates by using the Missionary Recommendation System. For further details on these opportunities, you can visit the Church’s official missionary service page or the newsroom of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
