In a new #HearHim video, Elder Ronald A. Rasband of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles said that we can hear God by acting on the promptings we receive while reading the holy scriptures.
“The ways that I hear the Spirit of the Lord best in my life is by reading the scriptures and following promptings of the Holy Ghost,” he said.
Elder Rasband shared his experience getting his mission call as a 19-year-old. Disappointed at being called to serve in the eastern states of the U.S. rather than Germany, where he longed to serve, he turned to the scriptures. “My attitude changed,” he said. “I knew by revelation through this scripture that that’s where the Lord wanted me to go,” he said.
