Easy Ways to Praise Jesus More in Your Daily Life

When Christ made His triumphal entry into Jerusalem, those who came to worship Him recognized Him as their King. Luke 19:37 says “the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen.” Yet, in spite of this honorable reception, Christ was shortly rejected and crucified.

We should endeavor to praise Christ every day and not neglect the mighty works He conducts in our own lives. Elder Bruce R. McConkie once said, “True and perfect worship is in fact the supreme labor and purpose of man.” Praising Jesus is a magnificent method to deepen our faith and cultivate a closer relationship with Him. While attending church is one method to praise Him each Sunday, we can also incorporate praise into our daily activities. Let’s explore three simple and meaningful methods to praise Jesus more throughout our day, allowing His presence to shine brightly in our souls.

Gratitude: The Power of Thankfulness
Expressing gratitude is a potent form of commendation that can transform our outlook on life. Take a moment each day to reflect on the privileges Jesus has bestowed upon you. It could be something as simple as the gift of a new day, a magnificent sunrise, a loving friend, or even a challenging experience that helped you develop. By recognizing and acknowledging these benefits, we offer gratitude to Jesus for His provision and guidance. Practice gratitude by maintaining a gratitude journal, sharing blessings with others, or offering a sincere prayer of thanksgiving.

Prayer: Communing with Our Savior
Prayer is an essential method to glorify Jesus and communicate with Him intimately. Make prayer a regular part of your day, inviting Jesus into your thoughts and conversations. Throughout your day, offer brief petitions of praise, veneration, and thanksgiving. These can be as simple as whispering a heartfelt “Thank you, Lord,” during a tranquil moment or discreetly praising Him for His kindness while going about your daily duties. Set aside dedicated time for deeper prayer and reflection, emptying out your love, concerns, and desires to Him. Remember, Jesus delights in our petitions and is always attentive to our utterances.

Acts of Service: Loving Others in Jesus’ Name
Praising Jesus extends beyond words; it is also demonstrated through our actions. Seek opportunities to serve others in Jesus’ name. Acts of benevolence, compassion, and generosity become acts of worship and gratitude. Volunteer at a local charity, lend a helping hand to a neighbor in need or simply demonstrate love and compassion to those around you. By reflecting Jesus’ love through our actions, we not only honor Him but also inspire others to venerate Him in their lives. Remember the words of Jesus, “Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me” (Matthew 25:40).

Praising Jesus in our daily activities doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming. By incorporating thanksgiving, prayer, and acts of service into our rituals, we create an atmosphere of praise and invite Jesus into every aspect of our lives. These simple yet powerful practices help us develop a deeper connection with our Savior and allow His radiance to shine through us. As we intentionally glorify Jesus, let us remember that our words, thoughts, and actions can be a source of inspiration and encouragement to those around us. May our lives be a continuous symphony of praise, glorifying His name in all that we do.
