According to Sandy Police Sergeant Greg Moffitt, it is unclear if the suspects and victim have a connection to the church or if they were simply hanging out in the empty parking lot. More information will be provided as it becomes available.

Police said the suspects fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV. They are still working to put together other details. Sgt. Greg Moffitt said it wasn’t yet known if the victim and suspects had any direct connection to the church or if they were just hanging out in the parking lot area.
