Today, we mourn the sudden passing of Elder Caleb Gene Martin (21), a devoted missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, from Salem, Utah, who passed away peacefully in his sleep while serving in the New Mexico Farmington Mission.
He left home to serve the Lord with faith, courage, and love. He wore his name badge with honor, shared the gospel with a willing heart, and gave his strength to the work of salvation. Though his time on earth was brief, his impact was eternal.
Our hearts ache for his family, friends, and fellow missionaries who loved and served beside him. We trust in the promises of Jesus Christ—that death is not the end, and that faithful servants will rise again through the power of the Resurrection.
