How This Latter-day Saint Historian Returned to His Faith

“A huge thing in my life has been my relationship with Joseph Smith,” Latter-day historian Don Bradley told Deseret News. “And as a historian, I can tell he’s religiously sincere.”

These feelings have evolved for Bradley, who left the faith in his 30s. In the feature online, he discusses how his continued study of Joseph Smith and Church history helped him rediscover his faith.

A pivotal moment was the passing of his brother, Charles. “I had a reconversion to Christ,” Bradley said. Coming back to church, he was able to see with new eyes.

He is currently working on new research into the life of Joseph Smith, Oliver Cowdery, and other pivotal stories from the Restoration. You can read more in the feature at Deseret News.
