Beloved CEO and Father Justin Bingham Dies in Tragic Accident

Beloved CEO and Father, Justin Bingham, Dies in Tragic Accident

A respected CEO and beloved father, Justin Bingham, tragically lost his life in a canyoneering accident at Zion National Park in October 2024.

Bingham, 40, was the CEO of Opiniion, a Utah-based software company, and was known for his passion for the outdoors and his love for his family. He fell 200 feet while canyoneering near Heaps Canyon, despite being with a group that followed their itinerary.

Rescue teams, including the Zion National Park Technical Search and Rescue Team, responded swiftly, but Bingham was pronounced dead at the scene.

But beyond his business achievements, Justin’s character stood out even more. For members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and fans on social media, Justin exemplified the values of hard work, integrity, and a sincere devotion to family and faith.

His company described him as a visionary leader, praised for his optimism and ability to build meaningful relationships, both professionally and personally. Bingham is survived by his wife and four children, who have expressed their grief but also shared their resolve to honor his legacy by staying hopeful, a value Justin lived by.

This accident is part of an ongoing investigation by park officials. His death has deeply impacted not only his family but also the broader community that he touched through his work and personal connections.

For those who knew him well and those who admired him from afar, Justin Bingham will be remembered not just for what he accomplished, but for who he was—a man who lived with heart, who served with faith, and who found beauty in every corner of life.
