Want to Attend the Temple as a Group? Now You Can Schedule Group Appointments Online

Latter-day Saints may now schedule group appointments for all proxy ordinances using the online system for temple appointments. The system previously only allowed group appointments for proxy baptism and sealing ordinances.

This new feature will be a welcome addition for family and friends wanting to attend the temple together. Larger groups such as wards and stakes are asked to continue reservations by email or phone.

President Russell M. Nelson taught, “The assaults of the adversary are increasing exponentially, in intensity and in variety. Our need to be in the temple on a regular basis has never been greater. … If you have reasonable access to a temple, I urge you to find a way to make an appointment regularly with the Lord — to be in His holy house — then keep that appointment with exactness and joy. I promise you that the Lord will bring the miracles He knows you need as you make sacrifices to serve and worship in His temples,” (“Becoming Exemplary Latter-day Saints,” October 2018 general conference).

Group Scheduling Process

When scheduling an appointment, check the box labeled “additional people” and enter the number of male and female members that are invited. Maximum group sizes vary by temple and are based on capacity.

Temple workers will see the appointment when guests check in at the recommend desk and will be better able to direct guests when they arrive.

Temple appointments will continue to be available by emailing or calling the temple.
