After climbing onto the roof of a Latter-day Saint chapel and inflicting malicious damage, a man was apprehended in Modesto, California. Several stucco roof tiles were pulled off and thrown by the man. He surrendered easily when policemen provided him soda and cigarettes and told him he was having a “frustrating time.”

The damage is assessed to be minor, and the individual has been charged with criminal vandalism on a preliminary basis. During the incident, no one was hurt.
